“In January 2006, the Quality Waters Strategy was initiated in the Skeena Region to address longstanding recreational angler use issues; that is, the crowding associated with the steelhead fishery on the region’s Classified Waters. “

“Working groups have been formed of local resident anglers and angling guides to develop a set of angling regulation recommendations to address crowding issues.”

“The product of the Skeena QWS process will be a number of Angling Management Plans (AMPs) that may recommend revisions to current sport fishing angling regulations as they pertain to crowding issues.”

Excepting 2002-2003 angler day amounts, the graph reflects the same amounts and data qualifications as those provided by the QWS tables. 2002-2003 angler day amounts contained in the graph are verified amounts provided by MOE, F&WB, Data and License Section. The criteria of the numbers printed on the attached reports are the same as those used in the QWS presentations and originate from the same source.
